I joined Lacey and Garrett and their dog Belle at Olin Park just before sunset on a summer evening in June for their engagement session. The weather was just starting to get super hot and humid in Madison, but we had a lovely evening strolling through the park and checking out the boat docks, all with an awesome backdrop of the Madison skyline and Lake Monona at sunset.
This summer has been like no other, with COVID-19 turning the world as we knew it upside down. Due to social distancing requirements, I have been photographing people a lot less so far this year, so it felt especially amazing to get out with these two for a session. Being outside in the park allowed us to safely keep our distance so I could capture some classic memories for Lacey and Garrett by the lake before their wedding later this summer.
