Elaine + Zeke || MMoCA Wedding

Each wedding I shot in 2019 was amazing and unique, but Elaine and Zeke’s wedding at the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art was one of my favorites of the year. I saw firsthand the love they shared, the food was delicious, and they curated their own reception music, which I loved. It was a sunny and beautiful mid-September Saturday and State Street was bustling with the usual Saturday morning summer activities like brunch, window shopping, and the Dane County Farmer’s Market. Elaine and Zeke’s ceremony was held in the MMoCA rooftop sculpture garden, a stunning space. They shared heartfelt vows and read beautiful passages about love from books that have stuck with me ever since. After the ceremony we took portraits on the stunning MMoCA stairs, which are slowly becoming one of my favorite places in Madison to take photos. The lighting in the space is to die for. After portraits, we enjoyed the most delicious dinner catered by Fresco, the rooftop restaurant above the museum, while the sun slowly set. Elaine and Zeke’s personal wedding playlist echoed over the rooftop while their closest friends and family danced the night away.

I also photographed their engagement photos - check them out on the blog!
